    Anirban Maitra

    Dr Anirban Maitra is currently employed as a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, the largest single site tertiary children’s hospital in UK. He is the director of Cystic Fibrosis unit (currently the largest in the country) and has been the lead for bronchiectasis and primary ciliary dyskinesia. He has worked as a Consultant in University Children’s Hospital at Leicester, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital (Liverpool) and spent time working in tertiary institutions overseas before joining Manchester Children’s Hospital in 2015. He has been involved in a wide range of trials involving children with cystic fibrosis, including the much coveted Aurora trial, culminating in the development of Kaftrio.
