    Lena Thia

    Lena Thia is a Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff and an honorary Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and Sports Science at Swansea University.  Lena is a clinician and a researcher whose main interest is in multi-modal detection of lung disease in children using multiple breath washout techniques and imaging. Lena did her training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine in London and obtained her MD(Res) degree from University College London (UCL). Lena is the lead PI for CF commercial trials taking place at the Children’s Hospital for Wales and has undertaken trials in children with CF involving MBW, chest CT and exercise. Lena has published in peer reviewed journals and has written a book chapter for the ECFS on pulmonary radiological investigations in the pre-school children with CF.
