Iram Haq
Iram Haq is an Honorary Paediatric Respiratory Consultant at the Great North Children’s Hospital and a Senior Clinical Fellow at the Newcastle University Translational and Clinical Research Institute. She obtained her PhD at Newcastle University and her main research interests involve investigating abnormal airway physiology in children with CF. She did her paediatric clinical training in the North East of England. Since 2022 Iram has been working as a Paediatric Respiratory Consultant within the regional CF service and she also specialises in respiratory sleep medicine.

Malcolm Brodlie
Malcolm Brodlie is a clinical academic in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Newcastle University Translational and Clinical Research Institute and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine at the Great North Children’s Hospital (GNCH). The work of the team spans from laboratory-based airway and inflammation biology to patient-facing clinical research with a principal focus on cystic fibrosis lung disease. He is Director of the NIHR North East Integrated Academic Training Programme for Doctors and Dentists.
